Premier Bank holds business conference in capital

The business conference-2023 of the Premier Bank Limited was held at Renaissance Hotel in Gulshan on Saturday.

Freedom Fighter Dr HBM Iqbal, chairman of Premier Bank’s board of directors was present at the occasion as the chief guest, said a press release.

Bank’s Managing Director and CEO M Reazul Karim, presided over the event while Vice Chairman Moin Iqbal (virtually connected), members BH Haroon, Abdus Salam Murshedy, M Imran Iqbal, chairman of Risk Management Committee, Jamal G Ahmed, Nahyan Haroon, Independent Director Kaisar A. Choudhury, Advisor Muhammed Ali also attended the event.

In the inaugural speech, Dr HBM Iqbal expressed his gratitude towards the Board of Directors, branch managers from all branches and every employee for achieving an annual growth of 20 per cent while increasing operating profit from Tk 852 crore to Tk 1,024 crore by end of the fiscal year 2022.

“This success will positively impact our position within the banking industry in 2023. In our 23 years of prosperity, Premier Bank has continued its excellence in modern and digital banking services empowered by the trust and love of our valued customers and stakeholders”, he said

The Managing Director and CEO, M Reazul Karim said that despite a very challenging year for the entire global economy, Bangladesh has become the 35th largest economy in the world according to the latest report by IMF.

He further stated that “We must work together to implement our business plans to meet the challenge of economic downturn.”

Branch Managers from 132 branches, zonal heads along with division heads of head office also attended the conference.
