Punak inaugurates ‘Sohojogitar Deyal’ in Khagrachhari

Police Women’s Welfare Association (Punak) Khagrachhari President Rehana Ferdousi has recently inaugurated Sohojogitar Deyal, a wall where people can donate their unnecessary goods especially clothes under the slogan- “Give if you can, take if you need.”

Punak set up the wall at Khagrachhari Shapla Chattar on Thursday (January 12) and encouraged people to donate their unnecessary clothes there. Those in need of winter clothes can freely pick anything from the display, said a press release.

President Rehana Ferdousi said many underprivileged people do not get the winter clothes donated by the wealthy or the government.

“Many people feel uncomfortable standing in line to receive donations. But thanks to the Sohojogitar Deyal, they can take clothes as per their need, while those who have excessive clothes can also share the warmth,” she said.

Khagrachhari Punak Vice President Mahmuda Begum, ASP Jiniya Chakma, Vice President Nusrat Alam, Member Secretary Suraiya Tori, Member Shrabani Pal, and Khagrachhari Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Arifur Rahman were present there, among others.
