The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh(ULAB) recently held its’ orientation programme for the fresher’s of Spring 2023 on Saturday at its main campus, said a press release on Sunday.
Professor Dr Lafifa Jamal, Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering, University of Dhaka, was present as the chief guest on the occasion, reads a press statement.
ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Imran Rahman, Dean of School of Science and Engineering Professor Mofazzal Hossain, Head (acting) of the Department of CSE Professor Muhammad Golam Kibria, were present at the orientation programme among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Latifa Jamal urged students to focus on lifelong learning, learning outside the classroom as well as
engagement with different co-curricular activities during their course of study to get familiarised with the real world.
She also emphasised on women empowerment and improvement of their social and economic status that would enhance their decision-making capacity at all levels. Prof Imran Rahman delivered the welcome address.
