4th Global Cotton Summit Bangladesh concludes

The two-day 4th Global Cotton Summit Bangladesh-2023 organised by Bangladesh Cotton Association (BCA) in association with Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) concluded in the capital on January 21.

A large number of participants including spinners, traders, international merchants, controllers, shipping agents and international associations participated in the summit, said a press release.

Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi (Birpratik) was the chief guest on the closing day while State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam was present as the special guest.

Earlier, the summit was inaugurated by Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at the opening ceremony where US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Helen LaFave, High Commissioner of Australia to Bangladesh Jeremy Bruer, Brazil Ambassador to Bangladesh Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, FBCCI president Md Jashim Uddin, BTMA President Mohammad Ali Khokon, President, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, Executive President of BKMEA Mohammad Hatem were present, among others.

The two-day programme was chaired by Bangladesh Cotton Association President Muhammad Ayub where stake holders from Australia, Brazil, France, Georgia, Germany, India, Italy, UAE, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Pakistan and USA participated.
