BPC holds workshop to resolve challenges in tourism industry

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) held a workshop titled “Measures that are required for development and to resolve challenges of the tourism industry” at the head office in Agargaon on Thursday.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahabub Ali and ministry secretary Md Mokammel Hossain were the chief guest and special guest of the workshop chaired by Corporation Chairman Ali Kadar, said a press release.

BPC was founded by the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina cares for this organisation, Mahabub Ali.

He directed the strengthening of marketing and advertising aiming to increase income from all units of BPC for contribution to the country’s GDP and development of the tourism industry. The State Minister also insisted on enhancing the standard of tourism service and implementing different innovative ideas for a positive outcome.

The state minister and secretary Md Mokammel Hossain also exchanged views with the owners of hotels, motels and resorts during the workshop while they discussed different issues including business, income, expenses and challenges of the sector.
