Eastern univ opens civil engineering, pharmacy departments

Eastern University has recently introduced departments of civil engineering and pharmacy from the spring 2023 semester through the Outcome Based Education (OBE) system.

The classes for the four-year courses will begin on February 12, said a press release. With the opening of fresh two departments, the total number of departments at Eastern University stood at seven.

OBE system aimed to achieve accreditation by the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC) and the Institute of Engineers of Bangladesh (IEB) through quality teaching.

Famous teachers from home and abroad will teach under this system while local people will also get the opportunity to test the samples of their various construction materials and carry out their construction work.
