Transaction facility widens between banks, bKash

Over 65 million customers of the mobile financial service bKash will be able to add money to their bKash account from the network of 40 commercial banks in the country.

By adding the money to bKash from bank accounts, it becomes much easier for customers to do essential cashless transactions like sending money, utility bill payment, merchant payment, mobile recharge, payment of school-college fees, e-ticketing, various online registration fee payment, savings, etc, said a press release.

First of all, customers registered to internet banking need to log in with the password. Then they can add their own or loved one’s bKash number as a beneficiary. Once the beneficiary is added, they need to tap on the ‘bKash’ icon from the ‘Wallet Transfer’ section of the ‘Transfer’ option in internet banking. Next, they need to fill in the necessary information such as bKash number, bank account number, and amount of money, and then click on the ‘submit’ button. After entering the OTP and PIN, the fund will be instantly transferred from the bank account to the bKash account.

After every successful transaction, the user will receive a notification via SMS. The limit for fund transfer set by the Bangladesh Bank will be applicable for both ‘Add Money’ and ‘bKash to Bank’ services.

Transfer funds to Visa Debit Card

Apart from ‘Add Money’ and ‘bKash to Bank’ services, bKash has also introduced a service to transfer funds to Visa Debit Card issued in Bangladesh. To avail of that service, app users need to tap on the ‘bKash to Bank’ icon and select the ‘card option’. After that, they need to tap on the Visa logo to enter the 16-digit Visa Debit Card number, type the amount of money, and then put in the PIN to complete the fund transfer. It may take a maximum of three working days to process the transfer.

The services like ‘Add Money’ and ‘bKash to Bank’ have made two-way transaction between bKash and banks more convenient for customers.
