A courtesy call on Imran Ahmad, Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment was arranged by the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) at his office on Sunday.

ICMAB delegation led by President Md Abdur Rahman Khan also met Senior Secretary Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen to explain the vision and mission of ICMAB, said a press release.

The minister and senior secretary were also briefed in detail about the core functions of ICMAB and the role of the CMA’s in the top management of different organisations in private and public sectors, locals and multinationals, home and abroad.

The delegation sought cooperation from the ministry for fostering overseas employment opportunities for CMAs across the globe including the middle-eastern countries.

Bangladesh will be immensely benefited from this initiative as CMAs are expected to be employed overseas with attractive remuneration packages and subsequently will enrich the country’s foreign currency reserve through inward remittances, the ICMAB, leaders said.

After the meeting, the ministry and ICMAB expressed their firm commitment to working together.
