Zobayer Shawon’s ‘Bektigoto Pulsirat’ unveiled

Renowned poet Zobayer Shawon’s fourth anthology of poems, “Bektigoto Pulsirat” was published in the Ekushey Book Fair-2023 on Sunday.

The book was unveiled by the a2i Project Director Dr Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir and renowned folklore researcher and poet Dr Aminur Rahman, said a press release.

In his speech, Zobayer Shawon said “My book contains poems that depict different moments of collective hope, and desires. Readers will rediscover themselves by reading each poem.”

“On the one hand, the poems have words related to the fourth Industrial Revolution while on the other hand also have the fragrance of a mother’s lap. The book will provide the joy of embracing metropolitan cities and melancholy for losing the beauty of rural nature, simultaneously”, he added.

Nabanna Publications has published the collection of 52 poems which will be available at stall numbers 455 and 456.

The poet’s other books are “Hemlock Hate Niye Bose Asi”, Mrittu Amader Protibeshi” and Malikana Bishoyok Dharonar Nobayon”.
