ACI exports pharma goods to US for first time

Advanced Chemical Industries Ltd (ACI), one of the largest conglomerates in the country, has exported pharmaceutical products to the US for the first time.

The products were shipped from ACI Healthcare Ltd in Sonargaon, Narayanganj – a USFDA–approved facility to ACI Healthcare USA, Inc – an ACI subsidiary in America, read a press release.

ACI has strengthened its standing in the global market with this achievement. It is also a momentous occasion of pride for ACI, as well as the pharmaceutical sector of Bangladesh, the release added.

A program has been organised to commemorate this memorable milestone at Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka on Thursday.

Prof Dr Abul Bashar Mohammed Khurshid Alam, DG, DGHS; Major General Mohammad Yousuf, DG, DGDA, M Anis Ud Dowla, chairman, ACI Group, Dr Arif Dowla, group managing director, ACI Ltd; M Mohibuz Zaman, MD & CEO, ACI Healthcare Limited; and other higher officials of ACI were present in the program.
