British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson visited the Danga Industrial Park of PRAN-RFL Group in Narsingdi on Monday.
Director (Corporate Finance) of PRAN-RFL Group, Uzma Chowdhury welcomed Robert Chatterton at the Danga Industrial Park while he visited different manufacturing units of PRAN-RFL Group including refrigerator, footwear and AC, said a press release.
During his visit, Dickson praised the PRAN-RFL Group for manufacturing products using state-of-the-art technology. “Bangladesh’s economy is progressing rapidly. As a result, the demand for various types of products including electronics is increasing in the country. PRAN-RFL Group is playing important role in meeting the demand for these products”, he said.
He welcomed the fact that PRAN-RFL has received an equity investment from British International Investment (BII) and has raised capital in the London market. He hoped the UK would play a future role in financing PRAN-RFL’s growth.
Uzma Chowdhury said, “Processed food products, electronics and household items play a big role in improving people’s quality of life. PRAN-RFL is committed to delivering quality products at affordable prices.”
“And that’s why the products of PRAN-RFL are very popular among common people of the country. Currently, PRAN-RFL products are being exported to 145 countries across the globe. Now, we aim to spread the products of PRAN-RFL more widely in different parts of the world”, he said.
Nur Alam, executive director of RFL Electronics and Fazle Rabbi, senior general manager of Danga Industrial Park were present on the occasion.
