BASIS SoftExpo 2023, one of the biggest exhibitions of the information and communication technology (ICT) sector in South Asia, will begin from February 23 to 26 at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal of Dhaka.
Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) will organise the event with the slogan 'Welcome to the smartverse' to display the latest technology innovations and ICT capabilities of Bangladesh to the world, said a press release.
The capacity of Bangladesh's information technology sector will be highlighted through various programmes during the four-day exhibition.
In this regard, recently a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between BASIS and Daraz. In the signing ceremony, BASIS Vice-President (Admin) Abu Daud Khan, Secretary Hashim Ahmed, Assistant Manager Farah Jabin Ahmed, stakeholder relations of BASIS, Daraz Chief Marketing Officer Talat Rahim and Anisa Murshed, Daraz Offline Marketing Head were present.
Special programmes including B2B Matchmaking, Ambassadors Night, Outsourcing Conference, Startup Conference, Developers Conference, Ministerial Conference, ICT Career Camp/Youth Programme, ‘Women In IT’ programme and Japan Day programme will be held during the expo while more than 800 corporate executives are expected to attend at ‘Business
Leaders Meet’.
Besides, more than 23 seminars and technical sessions will be held and various events and facilities for the visitors including shuttle services, knowledge-sharing sessions, and cultural programmes will be arranged.
About three lakh visitors including government and private policymakers, about 200 national and international speakers, IT experts, IT sector businessmen, foreign delegations, domestic and foreign IT users and interested young students will visit BASIS SoftExpo 2023.
