A training programme on fire safety, rescue, and primary treatment was held at Golden Son Limited, a member company of Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) at Karnafuli in Chattogram on Tuesday.
BGAPMEA organised the event in the fourth phase in association with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Safety Council and the International Labor Organization (ILO), said a press release.
Purbokone Limited Chairman Jashim Uddin Chowdhury was the chief guest at the workshop chaired by Golden Son Limited Managing Director Belal Ahmed where BGAPMEA Directors Md Abdul Wazed and Md Enamul Haque and FBCCI Safety Council Programme Coordinator Md Manzur Kader Khan were special guests.
Around 40 employees of Golden Son Limited including males and females participated in the training. BGAPMEA also organised similar training at the member companies in Kaliakair, Ashulia, and Tongi areas previously aiming to raise awareness and prevent fire accidents.
The association will continue the training sessions at the member companies that have at least 50 workers.
