The Department of General Education (GED) of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held a workshop titled ‘To be or not to be, an ethical question’ on the campus on Tuesday.
Head of GED and Director CAS Dr Shahnaj Husne Jahan gave the opening speech, said a press release. Neel Banerjee, an intercultural theatre practitioner and founder of Nautanki Theatre Company in Sydney of Australia facilitated the workshop.
The workshop discussed how ethics plays important role in professional theatre practice and allows the performers to re-educate themselves in theatre making.
Neel Banerjee shared his experiences with two different art practices and craftsmanship on two cultures and how he finds himself in a position where he can analyse, understand and appreciate.
In her speech, Dr Shahnaj highlighted the importance of moral values and code of conducts in performing arts including higher education and professional settings.
