ULAB student Mira becomes successful entrepreneur

Media Studies and Journalism alumni Kamrunnesa Mira, of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), became a successful entrepreneur and shared her experience in a programme recently.

The Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organised the programme titled "In Conversation with MSJ Alumni" on its permanent campus on February 9, reads a press release.

Kamrunnesa Mira was present as a discussant at the event while Prof Dr Jude William Genilo, head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department initiated the discussion session.

Mira discussed the importance of entrepreneurship and said "In life, you are never satisfied with whatever you are doing. I've gone through the same. It's just a part of our life."

Kamrunnesa Mira is a young entrepreneur and founder of the advertising agency Kites Communication. Her social enterprises are 'All for One Foundation' and 'Chashivan.'

In addition, she is currently engaged as a consultant and researcher at the UN concerns. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and a Master's degree in Communication for Development from the University of Illinois Chicago.

The programme concluded with a question-answer session on career prospects in entrepreneurship and community development work.
