The authorities of Raozan Municipality have initiated buying waste and household trash and utilising them in poultry, and dairy firms aiming to build an environment-friendly, clean and modern Municipality.
Municipality Mayor Jamir Uddin Parvez came up with the initiative in 2021 with the direction of ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, a lawmaker from Chattogram-6 constituency, in order to implement Prime Minister’s dream to turn villages into the city, said a press release.
Besides, the mayor also installed a good number of dustbins in different areas of nine wards for the preservation of trash.
Two separate money-making economic projects including preparing poultry and fish food and plastic grains from wastes will be implemented by processing the decomposing and non-decomposing trashes. Raozan Municipality Mayor said Parliament Member Fazle Karim Chowdhury previously announced Raozan as clean and green. “With his inspiration, each sack of waste will be bought at Tk 200 and utilised in two separate money-generating projects”, he said.
