Branding is a critical activity in business as it raises the interest of potential customers, said Ahneer Grover, founder of BharatPe, an integrated payment system in India for mobile devices, at a startup conference on the second day of ‘BASIS SoftExpo 2023’.

The conference with young entrepreneurs was hosted by the founder of the 10-minute school, Ayman Sadiq at Bangabandhu Bangladesh–China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal where 700 youths joined, said a press release.

As the chief guest, Ashneer said, “Branding is a critical activity in business. With it, you raise interest in your potential customers. When you are selling a product, you have to set the attraction for customers.”

“At the end of the day, we all measure success with money. I don’t find any problem with it; whereas, many people do. Investors will come to you and overpromise about funds. But, at the end of the day, they will Inquire about the capital. It is clear that you need to have a sufficient amount of money to start any kind of business”, he added.

In closing remarks of the conference, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services President Russell T Ahmed said, Youths are champions and they are the potentiality of Bangladesh. By 2041, Bangladesh will turn the vision of smart Bangladesh into reality and youth are going to be a major part of that, he said.

As the special guest, bdjobs.com CEO AKM Fahim Mashroor said “You can’t think about profit on the first day of business. Tech startups are not like grocery shops which can provide you with profit from day one. Our youths dream of profit from the very first day. No one should daydream. One should dream of reality. You have to work on the dream to serve society.”

At that event, Rahat Ahmed, Founding Partner and CEO of Anchorless Bangladesh delivered a presentation with slides and presented the method youths will follow to raise funds.

Other speakers of the event include Sami Ahmed, managing director of Startup Bangladesh Limited; Waseem Alim, co-founder and CEO of Chaldal; Biplob Ghosh Rahul, founder and CEO of eCourier Limited; Adnan Imtiaz Halim, founder and CEO of SHEBA Platform Limited and Sadia Haque, founder and CEO of ShareTrip.
