Aiming to raise awareness and knowledge on financial matters and services, LankaBangla Finance Limited observed "Financial Literacy Day 2023" on Monday.
Marking the day, LankaBangla held a daylong seminar with customers, organised by 27 branch managers across the country at their respective office premises, said a press release.
During the seminar, the officials of the company discussed banking-related knowledge, consumer rights and consumer empowerment, various financial products and services of LankaBangla Finance, the importance of banking services and transactions through digital mediums and the importance of Financial Literacy Day etc.
‘Financial Literacy Day’, a part of the financial literacy programme, is an initiative by Bangladesh Bank for the country’s people for acquiring knowledge, skills, confidence and competencies to safely digitally delivered financial products and services to make informed financial decisions.
Through this initiative, people of the country get informed about all financial knowledge such as savings, borrowing, financial products and planning, access to financial services, entrepreneurship, financial systems and participants, payment system and digital transformation, grievances redress mechanism and consumer protection etc.
