ICSB Organised Seminar on Insider Trading Prohibition Rules

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has organised a seminar on Insider Trading Prohibition Rules, 2022 and “Exit Plan (Delisting Procedure)” on Saturday, 11 March 2023 at 4.00 p.m. at ICSB.

Mr. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS, President, ICSB and Executive Director, Corporate Affairs & Group Company Secretary, BEXIMCO Group of Companies graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President, ICSB and Chairman, Sub Committee of ICSB Chaired the seminar. At the beginning, Hafez Mohammad Nurul Islam recited verses from the Holy Quran. Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS delivered the welcome speech and thanked everyone for joining.

The Keynote paper presenter Mr. Mohammed Nazrul Islam, Additional Director, Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) presented a Keynote Paper on “Insider Trading Prohibition Rules, 2022. He elaborated on various aspects such as- price sensitive information (PSI) and its preservation, insiders and their definition, principles on disclosure of material information, insider trading. He also discussed the principles of disclosure of material information and price sensitive information. He also mentioned the following challenges for secretarial practitioners.
