The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) recently held a workshop on the enlistment procedures of CMA firms with the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) at ICMA Bhaban of Nilkhet in Dhaka.
FRC Chairman Dr Md Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan as the chief guest of the programme described briefly the firm enlistment procedure and explained how FRC is working for the transparency of the accountancy profession, said a press release.
Md Sayed Ahmed, executive director of the Audit Practice Review Division of FRC presented a well-developed and thoughtful keynote paper. In his presentation, Sayed explained how the CMA firms will be enlisted in accordance with the formalities of the Financial Reporting Act 2015.
He also explained why the CMA Firms are required to be enlisted with FRC and what criteria should the CMA firms meet, the papers and information they have to submit, the fee, guidelines and the steps for submission of applications.
