Alumni reunion of CSE dept held at Eastern University

The alumni reunion of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department was held on the campus of the Eastern University (EU) on March 10.

More than 250 former students participated in the reunion event where the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammad Ali Azzam was present as the chief guest, said a press release.

On the occasion, Shahid Akhtar Hossain, vice-chancellor of the university was the guest of honour while the special guests were Engineer Abdur Rashid, country director of Swiss Multinational Company SGS Bangladesh Limited and Professor Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Eastern University. The Chairperson of the CSE Department, Muhammad Mahfuz Hasan presided over the event.

The Vice-Chancellor and guests inaugurated the event by releasing pigeons on the university playground. The event was followed by the alumni remembrance, guest talks, raffle draw and cultural programme. Shubnam Priyanka and the popular band Avoidrafa performed at the concert. University Public Relations Director Sajeed Fatemi presented the programme.
