Riseup Labs receives ISO 27001:2013 certification

Riseup Labs, a next-generation global IT services and technology solutions provider company, has received the ISO 27001:2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The certification was granted by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an authorised body for accrediting conformity assessment bodies worldwide, according to a press statement issued on Sunday.

A representative from a Bangladeshi local agency of ISO transfered the ISO 27001:2013 certificate to the founder & CEO of Riseup Labs Ershadul Hoque on Thursday.

ISO 27001:2013 is an internationally recognised standard that outlines best practices for information security management systems, said the press statement.

This certification demonstrates Riseup Labs' commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security and protection for its clients' sensitive data and information, it added.

Prior to receiving the latest certificate, Riseup Labs had received ISO 9001:2015 certification.

To obtain the ISO 27001:2013 certification, Riseup Labs underwent a comprehensive evaluation of its information security policies, procedures, and practices by an independent third-party auditor. The certification ensures that Riseup Labs has implemented strict security controls and processes to protect client data and information.
