SIBL holds discussion on zakat, cash waqf

Social Islami Bank Limited (SIBL) arranged a virtual discussion programme on zakat and cash waqf at the bank’s head office on Saturday.

SIBL Vice Chairman Md Kamal Uddin attended the programme as its chief guest, reads a press statement.

Managing Director and CEO Zafar Alam presided over the programme, it added. Mawlana Obaid Ullah Hamzah, chairman of SIBL Shariah Supervisory Committee, delivered keynote speech. Dr Mohammad Monzur-E-Elahi, member-secretary of the committee also spoke to the event.

Among others, Deputy Managing Directors Mohammad Forkanullah and Abdul Hannan Khan, divisional heads and senior executives of head office were also present at the event. Zonal heads, branch managers, sub-branch in-charges, clients and guests of 179 branches joined the program virtually.
