KK Foundation distributes Iftar, Sehri during Ramadan

Like every year, KK Foundation (KKF) has launched a month-long nationwide Iftar and Sehri distribution programme for the month of holy Ramadan as part of its humanitarian response and Sadaqah activities.

KKF along with its two partner organisations, Give Bangladesh and Jhilimili initiated the campaign to distribute Iftar and Sehri among the underprivileged people in 64 districts, said a press release.

Under Foundation’s “Project Ramadan 2023” fund-raising project aiming to help low-income and poverty-stricken families, KKF is operating this programme. The foundation was able to reach 3,140 people for Iftar and 800 people for Sehri in 6 districts till 8th of Ramadan.

Last year, the foundation distributed about 36,000 Iftar and 8,500 Sehri among the deprived people of 64 districts.

KK Foundation achieved the target with the generous support of donors. In packages the donors are contributing for Iftar and Sehri are “Tk 100 for 1 person, Tk 500 for 5 persons and Tk 1000 for 12 persons”.

The cost of daily essentials is soaring and impoverished communities are suffering the most. As food insecurity and malnutrition have increased, KKF is prioritising feeding the fasting underprivileged community.
