Bangladesh’s first international boarding school, Haileybury Bhaluka on Wednesday launched a $15m scholarship fund for students in a programme at Le Méridien Dhaka in the capital.
The Haileybury Academic Excellence Scholarship Fund offers comprehensive support to students for their entire educational course, said a press release.
Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury was the chief guest at the launching programme where the school’s Headmaster, Simon O’Grady outlined details of the scholarship and the unique culture of excellence it creates making Haileybury Bhaluka an outstanding school from the outset.
Head of International Trade of British High Commission Dhaka, Dan Pasha, Country Director (Acting) of British Council Bangladesh, Jim O’Neill, and Head of Dhaka International Schools’ Association Madiha Murshed were the special guest at the event.
Haileybury has 160 years of tradition in providing an outstanding education that focuses on lifting hearts and empowering minds.
