BAUET joins hands with Riseup Labs for IT solutions

Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Riseup Labs to get IT services and technology solutions.

According to the MoU, Riseup Labs will cooperate with university teachers and students in various ways, including research work, student internships, employment, and automation software, reads a press release. The MoU was signed on April 13, at the initiative of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department of the university. Registrar Lt Col (retd) Sheikh Shamim Hossain from BAUET and Md Moshiur Rahman, operations manager of Riseup Labs signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations.

Professor Mohammed Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, said that “By signing this mutual agreement between Riseup Labs and BAUET, the students of this institution, especially CSE, EEE, ICE, and BBA, will be able to utilise their talents and apply them in real life. In addition, they will get a chance to prepare themselves by developing skills.”

Ershadul Haque, founder and CEO of Riseup Labs, said in this context, "The signing of this agreement is an important milestone. Through this, Riseup Labs and Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology will work together to create skilled and educated human resources.”

Computer Science and Engineering Department Head Professor Mohammed Golam Sarwar Bhuyan, ECE Faculty Dean and EEE Department Head Professor Dr Kazi Khairul Islam, Director of IQAC and Head of Department of Civil Engineering Professor Dr Engr Md Rashidul Hasan, Director of BAUET Research Center and Associate Professor Dr Md Saiful Islam, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration Md Abdur Rashid, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering Dr Md Rubel Bashar, Deputy Registrar (Academic), and Riseup Lab Business Analyst Rifat Ashraf were also present at the MoU signing ceremony.
