Genex Infosys approves deal with Irish technology firm

Genex Infosys Limited, a business process management and IT services company approved an agreement with Ireland-based technology company, Whaleco Technology Limited, for providing content moderation and data annotation services.

Board of Directors of Genex Infosys approved the agreement in a meeting at Khilkhet in Dhaka on Sunday, reads a press release.

Under the agreement, Genex Infosys will work as a strategic partner, providing content moderation and data annotation services.

The services demand a competent and efficient workforce with strong analytical and cognitive skills to filter and label the huge volume of incoming data, which will help improve the technology company's Artificial Intelligence algorithm through machine learning.

By providing the services, Genex Infosys is expected to make about USD 7.07 lakh in revenue and USD 70,000 in incentives per year.

Genex started its journey in Dhaka in 2012 and shortly has become the largest business process management and IT services company in Bangladesh later on, the firm diversified itself into various fields in the ICT sector.

In 2019, Genex became the first publicly listed company in the country's IT-enabled services sector. It has more than 4,000 employees and manages over 170 million customer interactions a year, according to its website.
