DIU Chairman joins ACE meeting in USA

Daffodil International University (DIU) Chairman and President of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) Dr Md Sabur Khan attended the annual general meeting of the American Council on Education (ACE) on a special invitation that took place in Washington DC of the USA recently.

This event, known as the USA’s most distinguished higher education event, aims to inspire forward-thinking approaches, facilitate networking among top leaders in all higher education sectors, and bring data-driven insights back to campuses worldwide. The meeting brought together academicians, leaders, presidents, and top management from different higher education institutions around the world, stated a press release.

While attending the ACE Annual Meeting 2023 Dr Khan also attended the International Association of Universities Presi-dents (IAUP) board meeting in Washington DC. This prestigious gathering of prominent figures in the education sector fo-cused on insightful discussions to enhance internationalisation for the benefit of students worldwide.

During the event, Dr Md Sabur Khan had a dialogue with Allan E Goodman, president of the Institute of International Educa-tion (IIE), and discussed potential strategies to foster international collaboration and create more global educational op-portunities for students.

Moreover, Dr Md Sabur Khan also met two other outstanding leaders in education, James Kvaal, the current under-secretary of the USA Education Minister and Dr Ted Mitchell, president of the American Council for Education (ACE) and former under-secretary during the Obama Administration. Their dedication to advancing education globally was an inspira-tion for all the attendees.
