AIUB students visit Riseup Labs to get IT insights

A team of students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) visited Riseup Labs, a next-generation global IT service and technology solution provider company in Bangladesh, to gain insights into the Quality Assurance (QA) practices in Information Technology (IT) companies.

Some Honours final year students of the CSE department, visited Riseup Labs on Monday to learn how to prepare a test plan and understand the QA activities involved in Software Testing, said a press release.

Ershadul Hoque, founder and CEO of Riseup Labs, warmly welcomed the students while the Riseup Labs team gave them a tour of the company's facilities. The students were introduced to the production departments and their Product Managers, QA Engineers, Software Developers, Artists, and others. The students were impressed with the state-of-the-art infrastructure at the company, which included advanced software testing tools and equipment.

Team Riseup Labs provided them with a detailed overview of software testing and quality assurance practices. They also informed them about the importance of testing in software development, the types of testing that are commonly used, and the best practices for preparing a test plan.

They were also briefed on the various activities involved in QA, such as test design, test execution, defect reporting, and defect tracking.

The students were particularly interested in the testing tools used by Riseup Labs, such as automated testing tools, load testing tools, and performance testing tools. They also learned about the importance of collaboration and communication between software developers and QA teams to ensure that the software products meet the required quality standards.

The visit was a great opportunity for the students to gain practical knowledge and insights into the QA practices in software companies. They appreciated the opportunity to learn from the experts at Riseup Labs and hoped to apply the best practices in their future careers.
