Bangladesh National Team cricketer Rony Talukdar recently got admitted to Sonargaon University in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme.
He made his international debut for Bangladesh in July 2015 and plays first-class cricket for Dhaka Division in Bangladesh. He was part of Bangladesh's squad for the Under-19 World Cup in 2008 and was the leading run-scorer for Dhaka Division in the 2-18-19 National Cricket League, with 426 runs in four matches but his academic journey remained halted.
The popular all-rounder went to the university campus at Green Road on Wednesday and expressed his wish to get admission to Sonargaon University and resume his academic journey, according to a press release.
On the occasion, Rony said, “I’m happy to resume my studies after a long time. I want to conclude my studies after completing graduation here. I’m proud to get admission to Sonargaon University and grateful to the university authorities for giving me this opportunity.”
Sonargaon University Head of PR Nahid Hasan, Senior Admission Executive Md Rasel and other officials were present there, among others.
