Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) on Monday at Agargaon’s BEZA Conference Centre.
Joint Secretary and General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEZA Moniruzzaman and DBCCI President Anwar Shawkat Afser signed the MoU, said a press release.
Executive chairman of BEZA Shaikh Yusuf Harun was present as a Chief Guest at the MoU signing ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by BEZA Investment Promotion & Monitoring-3 Manager Binita Rani.
“A new era has been started by this MoU signing ceremony. DBCCI now got the affiliation from the Prime Minister’s Office of Bangladesh, BEZA”, Anwar Shawkat Afser said.
DBCCI President highlighted the upcoming event “Bangladesh Investment Road Show in the BENELUX-2023” which will be jointly organized by BIDA, BSEC and DBCCI in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg from 23 to 30 September 2023.
Assuring all kinds of support for the delegation BEZA Executive chairman Shaikh Yusuf Harun mentioned that the present government led by our leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina created a friendly environment to invest in Economic Zones in Bangladesh.
He appreciated the DBCCI Board of Directors for their initiative to attract FDI from the Benelux region as well as from Europe. “Economic Zones will provide a safe zone for the foreign investor in Bangladesh.”
