AB Bank Limited disbursed agricultural loans to 1800 small and marginal farmers under own supervision through smart cards at Kasba, Brahmanbaria.
The programme was organised at Kasba T Ali Degree College, Brahmanbaria, reads a press statement on Sunday
Anisul Huq, MP, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, was present as chief guest at the event.
Md Rashedul Qaiser Bhuiyan Jibon, upazila chairman, and the general secretary of Awami League, Kasba; Mohammad Amimul Ahsan Khan, upazila nirbahi officer; Md Golam Hakkani, mayor, Kasba Municipality; Md Monir Hossain, vice chairman, Kasba; Farhana Siddique, female vice chairman; MA Aziz, member; Zilla Parishad, Brahmanbaria; and Hazera Begum, upazila agriculture officer were present as special guests on the occasion
Tarique Afzal, president and managing director of AB Bank Limited presided over the programme.
Local senior leaders of Bangladesh Awami League along with other officials of the bank also attended the programme.
