A team of more than 100 military delegates led by Air Vice Martial Muhammad Kamrul Islam visited the factory of Incpta Pharmaceuticals Ltd, one of the country’s leading pharmaceutical companies, at Zirabo in Savar on Thursday.
The visit was organised as a part of the National Defence College’s course curriculum where representatives of friendly countries like Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Oman, Srilanka, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia took part, a press statement said.
Incepta’s officials welcomed the team with flowers in the morning while Mahbubul Karim, chief operating officer (CEO) briefed the manufacturing procedure and operation, maintenance and future plans of the company to the team members. After that, the team observed the Hi-Tech procedure of the production of international standard medicines and vaccines and overall management systems.
At the time of exchanging views, Air Vice Martial Muhammad Kamrul Islam, applauded the activities of Incepta and said, “It is impressive that medicines are being produced in Bangladesh maintaining international standards. It is a huge success. Today we see that we are not left behind US or Europe in terms of quality medicine production.”
Rear Admiral Mohammad Shahjahan, Major General Syed Tareq Hussain and Major General Md Mostagousur Rahman Khan were also present at the event, among others.
INCEPTA Pharmaceuticals Ltd started its journey in 1999, later the company became successful in bringing a positive change in the pharmaceuticals arena of the country by producing international standard medicines and life-saving vaccines using Hi-Tech and long experience.
