BASCOM gets new executive body

Bangladesh Association of Social Communication (BASCOM) has formed a new executive committee with 15 members recently.

The executive body was formed at the annual general meeting and reunion in the presence of a large number of BASCOM members at its Mirpur office in the capital, said a press statement.

Shahid Hossain was elected as the new president, Israt Zerin vice president and Parvez Babul was general secretary for three years. Besides, Pijush Kumar Biswas was appointed as finance secretary, Rehanuddin Ahmed Raju as joint secretary, Abu Hasib Mostafa Jamal as resource mobilization secretary, Khairuzzaman Kamal as network building secretary and Shah Mohammad Kausar Ahmed as knowledge management secretary.

The executive committee members are Dr Ishtiaq Hossain Arnab, Jinia Ferdous, Farzana Begum, Kamrunnahar, Sharmin Rahman, Asim Dutta and Dr Roshan Jahan. In the general meeting, the newly formed committee members pledged to work together for the development of the organisation.
