Hamdard Laboratories WAQF Bangladesh, the country’s largest herbal (Unani) pharmaceutical company, has launched its new product, Ihram Neem Glycerin soap in a programme on Tuesday.
Hamdard Managing Director and Chief Mutawalli Dr Hakim Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan presided over the launching ceremony at Hamdard’s head office in Dhaka’s Banglamotor area, said a press release.
Vice-Chairman of Hamdard Bangladesh Board of Trustees and renowned physician Prof Dr AK Azad Khan, Member and Chittagong Medical University VC Prof Dr Md Ismail Khan, Hamdard University Bangladesh’s Academic Chair in Unani Medicine Dr Prof. Munawwar Hussain Kazmi, Unani expert Hakim Dr SM Roid Uddin, Bangladesh Dermatological Society President Prof Dr Ehsanul Kabir Jaglul were also present at the event.
Hamdard Deputy Managing Director Md Jamal Uddin Rasel, Handard Foundation Bangladesh Director Leftenent Cornel Mahbubul Alam Chowdhury (Retrd), Director of Human Resource Development Dr Nargis Marjan, Director of Distribution Md Shariful Islam also attended the event.
On the occasion, Prof Dr AK Azad Khan said that in the post-Covid-19 era, widespread research and contemplation are underway across the globe about Ayurvedic herbal medicines.
Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan said “Hamdard is working tirelessly for the cure ailments. Hamdard University has launched a higher education programme to push this medical study to the international standard. The launching of Neem Glycerin soap is a part of the new research.”
