Freshers’ reception held at UIU

United International University (UIU) hosted the orientation programme for the newly admitted students of the Summer-2023 semester at the UIU Auditorium in Dhaka on Friday.

Students from the School of Science and Engineering (SoSE), School of Business and Economics (SoBE) and School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SoHSS) took part in the orientation programme.

UIU Vice Chancellor (In-charge) Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem Mia was present at the event as the chief guest while the presentation on the UIU was delivered by Prof Dr AKM Muzahidul Islam, of the CSE department and director of Center for International Affairs and Cooperation (CIAC).

Prof Dr Md Abul Kashem advised the fresh students to remain regular in their academic studies and classes and acquire various skills to become a part of world-class skilled human resources.

UIU Registrar Dr Zulfiqur Rahman discussed the academic rules of the university while two alumni Sayed Abdullah Morshed, head of HR Operation at Daraz Bangladesh and Sabila Nawshin, a PhD student and associate instructor of CS Department at Indiana University Bloomington, USA and two newly admitted students also spoke at the programme.

Treasurers, deans of different faculties, heads of departments, directors, faculty members, officials, students and guardians among others were also present in the programme.
