Abu Sadek re-elected PLFL chairman

Abu Sadek Md Sohel and M Rabiul Huq have been re-elected as the chairman and vice-chairman of Premier Leasing and Finance Limited (PLFL), respectively.

The decision was made at the 262nd meeting of the Board of Directors of the major financial institution, recently, said a press release.

Abu Sadek has 39 years of experience as a banker who joined as the senior officer of Sonali Bank in 1977 and worked for 24 years at different branches. In 2001, he was promoted to the general manager of the bank and later in 2005, he joined the Agrani Bank as the deputy managing director.

He also served in Social Islami Bank Limited and SIBL Securities Limited and Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited and retired in 2016. During his long career, he attended numerous trainings and visited the USA, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, India and Nepal. He has been working as an associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB) for around two decades.

Besides, M Rabiul Huq completed his graduation from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He worked as a start-up director at PLFL and Premier Leasing and Securities Limited and as director of Creative Engineers’ Limited.

The Board of Directors elected Dr Rezwanul Huque Khan as chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Rezwanul Huque Khan is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka (DU), the most reputed and pioneer business school in the country.
