Riseup Labs holds seminar on gaming industry at AIUB

To shed light on the gaming industry’s rapid growth and immense potential in Bangladesh, IT firm Riseup Labs organised a seminar titled “Rising Gaming Industry in Bangladesh” at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).

In association with AIUB Computer Club (ACC), Riseup Labs organised the seminar on Monday on the AIUB campus, said a press release.

The chief guest of the seminar was Ershadul Hoque, chairman of the Standing Committee on Games, XR and NFT of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), and the Founder and CEO of Riseup Labs.

Head of Product Development of Riseup Labs, Md Rafiquzzaman, Product Manager Jamil Mahmud, Senior SQA Engineer Wasif Zaman, Software Engineer (Node.js) SM Raihan Gafur and Associate Professor and Special Assistant of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Abhijit Bhowmik of AIUB were also present as the guest speakers.

The seminar began with an insightful keynote address delivered by Md Rafiquzzaman, head of product development at Riseup Labs. He highlighted the exponential growth of the gaming industry in Bangladesh, emphasizing the youth to rising potential to become the leading game developer in the global gaming market.

Several panel discussions and presentations by the Riseup Labs experts featured the event. Topics covered included the global gaming industry, Bangladesh’s position in the gaming industry, the current state of the gaming industry, market size and revenue, industry scopes, product management of game or gaming platforms, etc.

The chief guest of the seminar, Ershadul Hoque, chairman of BASIS Standing Committee on Games, XR and NFT, said, “With the continued support and nurturing of local talent, Bangladesh is poised to make significant strides in the global gaming market in the coming years. So, the Students should develop their skills to become professionals and join the game industry.”
