Amazon Web Services (AWS) is set to create 50,000 AWS experts by training young talented IT lovers in Bangladesh in collaboration with Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI).

For the first time in Bangladesh, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil International Professional Training Institute (DIPTI) jointly organised Amazon Web Services Cloud Day 2023 in Dhaka on Saturday under the direct supervision of 10 experts in collaboration with AWS, said a press release.

In view of the thousands of applications this time and due to the continuous demand, the authorities will organise Amazon Web Services Cloud Day every year and plan to organise another programme at the end of this year for those who did not get the opportunity to participate.

Through this event, Daffodil will play an important role in creating job opportunities for the technology-loving youth of Bangladesh. The Daffodil family will take advantage of the opportunities that AWS has to build skilled human resources around the world.

The Daffodil family is keen to integrate AWS into the education system of Bangladesh and embed AWS in the course curriculum and DIPTI and the Daffodil family will conduct the training of AWS in Bangladesh.

DIPTI with the support of Daffodil International University has taken this initiative to promote AWS Cloud Services in Bangladesh and introduce the power and technology capabilities of AWS Cloud Services to a wider audience in Bangladesh. AWS is committed to revolutionising Bangladesh’s technology sector by training 50,000 technology enthusiasts for employment through AWS cloud services.

In addition to the training initiative, five polytechnic institutes under the Daffodil Education Network are going to acquire AWS Academy status, to prepare students for industry-recognized certifications and careers in the cloud, as well as empower students with the cutting-edge knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the digital age.

AWS has set a target of producing 700,000 skilled technology professionals over the next few years. AWS and DIPTI will actively work to address the digital skills gap in Bangladesh and build a Smart Bangladesh. By empowering professionals with industry-leading knowledge and skills, both institutions will work together to promote economic growth, innovation and bring technological advancement to the country.
