Akhter Hossain promoted to SJIBL AMD

Prominent banker M Akhter Hossain has been elevated to the post of additional managing director (AMD) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL), the bank said in a statement.

Prior to his promotion as AMD, M Akhter Hossain was the deputy managing director & COO and chief anti money laundering compliance officer (CAMLCO) of the bank.

M Akhter Hossain started his profession in 1988 joining Agrani Bank Ltd as a senior officer. Later on, he joined Mercantile Bank Ltd in 2002 as assistant vice president. After that he joined Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd in 2005 as vice president.

Akhter Hossain has more than 34 years of banking experience to his credit.
