Humayun Rashid, Managing Director and CEO of Energypac Power Generation Limited, received the FBCCI Business Excellence Award 2023 on Monday in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the country’s economy.
The award was announced at an event organised at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the capital, said a press release.
After getting the award, Humayun Rashid said, “I am extremely happy to receive this award from the top business forum of our country. We have been working to meet the power and energy needs of Bangladesh for a long time. We are working on environment-friendly energy and energy-saving solutions to ensure the sustainable development of the country. This recognition will act as a catalyst for achieving our goals.”
On the occasion of FBCCI’s 50th anniversary, this excellence award was declared under various categories as part of the Bangladesh Business Summit 2023 organised at BICC in Agargaon from March 11-13.
The summit was organised to expedite economic development towards realising the goal of smart Bangladesh by 2041. Business leaders, investors and policymakers from the country and abroad participated in various sessions of the summit.
The key objective of FBCCI Business Excellence Award was to acknowledge publicly the vital contributions made by the trade bodies, companies and individuals to Bangladesh business.
Also to create an environment which will encourage, sustain the entrepreneurial spirit and enhance standards of business management in Bangladesh and illustrate the depth of talent that exists in the country by highlighting nominees’ success stories.
FBCCI President Jashim Uddin conveyed the welcome speech at the beginning of the award-giving ceremony. Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was present as the chief guest whereas Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Prime Minister’s Private Industries and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman were the special guests.
