Bangladeshi youth slaughtered in Italy

A Bangladeshi youth was found slaughtered in his apartment at Turin in Italy on Tuesday, local media Torino Today reports.

The 25-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, hailed from Cumilla.

He and his roommate in the Corso Francia 95 building at Turin worked as dishwashers at the Donna Margherita restaurant in Collegno. Tuesday was Ibrahim's day off and therefore he was alone at home while his roommate was on duty.

Ibrahim's roommate first noticed his dead body after returning from work at midnight. Later, a mobile police squad arrived on the scene on information and recovered the body.

The motive behind the murder was unclear. However, police initially suspected the murder took place for robbery.

The killer escaped before the police arrived, probably taking the murder weapon with him, which was not found reported Torino Today citing police.

The murder took place after 7:00pm, local police believed, when the victim's roommate left the house to go to work.

An investigation has begun into the matter. However, no one was arrested in the incident so far.
