Bangladesh Consul Humayun gets highest Thai honour

King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand has graciously bestowed upon Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand to Chittagong, the Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand in recognition of his prominent role in promoting and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Kingdom of Thailand.

Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury has dedicated himself to assisting the Royal Thai Government and helping Thai nationals residing in the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for 18 years.

The Royal Thai Embassy organised the Royal Decoration Presentation Ceremony followed by a reception on 22 August this year at the Ambassador’s Residence. Distinguished guests consisting of Humayun’s family members and the Royal Thai Embassy’s officials were present to congratulate him.

The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand was established by His Majesty King Chulalongkorn in 1869. Currently, it is conferred on Thai civil servants and foreign nationals with outstanding role in promoting bilateral relations and cooperation.
