Bangladesh High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria on Wednesday celebrated the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Nigeria at the residence of Bangladesh high commissioner.

They also celebrated success of foreign policy school course conducted by the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) and Nigeria’s ministry of foreign affairs, read a press release.

The event was graced by the guest of honour NIIA Director General Prof Eghosa E Osaghae and High Commissioner of South Africa to Nigeria Thamsanga Dennis Mseleku.

The event was initiated by the national anthems of both countries followed by introductory and welcome speech by Bangladesh High Commissioner Masudur Rahman, speech by Guest of Honour Director General of NIIA, Cake cutting, distribution of certificate among 75 participants representing from various Nigerian government offices, academia, media and business professionals.

Four countries from abroad were represented in training namely India, China, South Africa and Sierra Leon.
