The Ministry of Industries (MoI) has nominated 12 industries for the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Industrial Award-2022 for their contribution to industrial development.
The MoI published the names of the award winners in a notification on Sunday.
Awards will be given in six categories--large scale industry, medium scale industry, small scale industry, micro industry, cottage industry and hi-tech industry for the period from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.
This year, three awards will be given in the large industry category, two in the medium industry category, three in the small industry category, one in the micro industry category, two in the hi-tech industry category and one in the cottage industry category.
In the large industry category, Runner Automobiles is ranked first, Zaber & Zubair Fabrics in second place and BSRM Steels in third place.
Nita Company won the first place in the medium industry category, followed by Noman Terry Towel Mills in the second position. Hazrat Amanat Shah Spinning Mills won the first position in the small scale industry category, followed by Basumati Distribution in the second position and Techno Media came in third position. Green Genesis Engineering first in micro industries category and Samsunnahar Textile Mills first in cottage industry category.
In the hi-tech industry category, Walton Hi-Tech Industries won first place and Super Star Electrical Accessories came in second.
Mentionable, Tk 3 lakh and 25 grams of gold-encrusted crest will be given as the first prize, Tk 2 lakh and 20 grams of gold-encrusted crest as the second prize and Tk 1 lakh and 15 grams of gold-encrusted crest as the third prize. The gold crests are made of 18 carat gold.
