The chief secretary also said “We have decided to build houses for 139 families who have lived here and were adversely impacted by the construction of BSMSN. They will also get employment. Police have taken all measures including the establishment of a new police station here for the security of locals as well as the industrial city.”
Quoting BSMSN authorities, Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) Chairman Yusuf Harun said that five companies including Asian Paints, Nippon and McDonald Steel Mill and Samuda have already started production in the industrial zone and three more are on the way to going into production.
