Data from the Industrial Police show that only 17.73 per cent of factories have paid festival allowances to their workers till Thursday.
A report shows that 1,705 factories across the country out of 9,616 cleared the Eid bonuses.
Previously, State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian asked factory owners to clear March wages before April 10, and disburse Eid festival bonuses before closing up for the holidays.
