73 companies to get nat’l export trophy

A total of 73 companies are set to receive the national export trophy for their outstanding performance in the country’s export earnings in the fiscal year 2020-21.

Rifat Garments Ltd, one of the leading apparel manufacturing companies in the country under Ha-Meem Group, will get Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Export Trophy as the best exporter in financial year 2020.

Rifat Garments Ltd has been selected for the national export trophy in recognition of its exceptional export performance among 32 product and service sectors in the FY2020-2021.

The Ministry of Commerce issued a notification in this regard yesterday. Export trophies will be given in three categories--gold, silver and bronze--to the recipients in different sectors.

According to the notification, in the Readymade Garments (Oven) Category--Snowtex Out Wear, AKM Knit Wear, Tarashima Apparels; In the Readymade Apparel (Knit) Category--Flamingo Fashions, GMS Composite Knitting Industries, Liberty Knitwear; In All Types Of Yarn Categories--Badsha Textiles, Square Textiles, NZ Textiles and in Textile Fabrics category--Ha-Meem Denim, Envoy Textiles, Akiz will get export trophies.

Zaber & Zubair Fabrics and Momtex Expo have been selected for the export trophy in the Home and Specialized Textiles category. Noman Teritawell Mills Ltd is getting the trophy in Teritawell sector.
International Jute Traders and Sartaj Trade International are for Raw Jute categrogry while in jute products category—Akij Jute Mills Ltd., Janata Jute Mills, Jobaida Karim Jute Mills Ltd have been selected for the trophy.

PICARD Bangladesh, ABC Footwear Industries for leather products; Bay-Footwear, Soniverse Footwear, Alliance Leather Goods and Footwear for Footwear category; Indigo Corporation, Mansoor General Trading Company and Heritage Enterprises for agricultural products; In agro-processing products, Pran Dairy, Habiganj Agro, Elin Food Products are getting the national export trophy. Rajdhani Enterprises and Elin Foods Trade will get the full-foliage export trophy.

Karupanya Rangpur, BD Creation, Classical Handmade Products BD in Handicraft category; Durable plastic in Melamine category; Bengal Plastics, Allplast Bangladesh, Bengal Poly and Paper Sack in plastic products category; Shinepukur Ceramics, Artisan Ceramics in Ceramic products category; In light engineering industry category—Meghna Bangladesh, Rangpur Metal Industries, Unigeri cycle components will get export trophy.

Apart from this, Energypack Engineering, Walton Hi-Tech Industries and BRB Cable Industries are getting export trophies in electrical and electronic products. Other industrial products category include--Marine Safety Systems, Emiya Metals Marine Services, BSRM Steels; Beximco, Incepta, Square Pharmaceuticals in pharmaceutical products; Service Engine in Computer Software, Golden Harvest will get Infotech Export Trophy.

Universal Jeans, Pacific Jeans and NHT Fashion have been selected for the export trophy in the 100 per cent Bangladeshi-owned readymade garments (knit and woven) category of EPZ.

Padma Spinning & Composites, RM Interlinings, Star Packaging & Accessories in Other Products & Services category; Montrims, M&U Packaging, Unigari Paper & Packaging in packaging and accessories products category; Other primary products category includes N.R. Trade International, Hair Style Factory, Ghazi’s Fresh Sea-Food; Mir Telecom in other services sector category; In the category reserved for women, entrepreneurs or exporters, Pioneer Knitwear, B-Con Knitwear, Ibrahim Knit Garments were selected.

However, in the previous financial year, the frozen food sector received a trophy for export but did not get any medal in the financial year 2020-21.
