40 DIU students receive Tk1.2cr from Prime Islami Life

In a heartwarming gesture of support, Daffodil International University (DIU) authorities, along with Prime Islami Life Insurance Company Ltd handed over Tk 1.2 crore to 40 students of the university where they got Tk 3,00,000 each against their Guardians Insurance claim during a programme held at Prof Aminul Islam Auditorium on campus on Tuesday.

Rahim Ud-Doula Chowdhury, chief consultant (Board) at Prime Islami Life Insurance Company Ltd was present as the chief guest while the university’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor SM Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder was present as the guest of honour, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.

DIU Treasurer Hamidul Haque Khan presided over the programme while Md Shamsul Alam, chief executive officer, Anisur Rahman, deputy managing director of Prime Islami Life Insurance Company Ltd and Mominul Haque Mazumder, director (Finance and Accounts) were present as the programme’s special guests.

Daffodil International University brought out all students, guardians, teachers and employees under the insurance risk coverage of natural death, accidental death, permanent disability of all types (PTD) and permanent partial disability (PPD) since 2014 through Prime Islami Life Insurance Company Ltd.

As a result, 40 students of the university received a death insurance claim cheque worth Tk 3,00,000 each from the life insurance company.
