As part of the government's endeavour to provide technology-based citizen services to every person in remote areas to build a 'Smart Bangladesh', Aspire to Innovate-a2i and Sublime Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at ICT Tower in the city's Agargaon area on Wednesday.

To achieve this dream, Aspire to Innovate-a2i and Sublime Limited will work together to establish Digital Sheba Centres across the country to provide digital services in villages, read a press release.

In line with this vision, a2i and Sublime Limited signed the MoU while Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i, and Sublime Limited Chairman Lieutenant General, Sheikh Mamun Kahled (retd), signed it, on behalf of their respective organisations, the release added.

Under this MoU, the Digital Sheba Centres will be established to provide digital services to the underprivileged population in rural areas across the country.

To achieve this goal, a2i will provide technical and overall support in developing entrepreneurs and ensuring citizen services at the village level.

Sublime Limited will work to provide all e-services, including birth and death certificate registration, payment of electricity bills, registration for foreign travel, and financial transactions.
